"4am." Dave answered and passed me a glass of water "We are waiting for the polices"

"It has been 5 hours, and they are still not here yet." Danny complained

"I think is here." A man said "it ought to be here, look at this place, is empty." and they waked in

"The polices are here, like finally" Elliot mocked

"So, what's up?" the police officer asked

"I made a new year resolution that I am to meet a new friend everyday, so i called the police!" Elliot mocked angrily "It's obvious isn't!?" this place is being robbed! dumb ass!

"Oh okay, so it's empty?" The police said again

"Un huh!?" Stella made a sound "Are you idiot!? someone robbed this place!"

"Any clue who will it be?" the police officer asked

"Oh come on now! what the hell is wrong with you, if we know who might it be, we don't need you!" Dave cried "Not to mention that we have waited for more than 3 hours!"

"Okay, chill man." The police said "Hey, I know you people, you guys are.."

"Whatever is it, get your job done ASAP. We are tired!" Dave cried

"We will need to delay everything." Stella whispered "Alexis need to rest as well, we made her work too much these days."

"We wont be free soon" Dave said "Each of us that others commercial to rush by xmas and the world tour is happening soon, we need to practice as well."

"But, most of the studios are fully booked" Ally said

"We have to try, I will call him." I said "Don't worry, he is a very nice guy, he was my teacher once."

"We are almost reaching, stop sleeping." he said "it annoyed me"

"I will get the rest of them. We got no assistance today because of the airport.."

Looking at the mirror and i started to question myself. "what the hell am I doing here, alone?"

Oh wait, i nearly forget to introduce myself. I am Alexis, I am 24 and I am still... Single. Oh yes, I am single since I was 20.

I know what are you thinking right now, I must be a fat, ugly and annoying bitch that always complain about how pathetic my life is and keep on stuffing ice cream and chocolates to myself saying that I am trying to make my self happy which was actually just to satisfied myself from being a fat bitch. OK stop! no. I wasn't.

So what is wrong with me? Honestly I got no idea at all. Is like at all. Seriously. Well, I work from Monday to Friday as a Graphic Designer and I slack at home on weekends and sometimes hanging out with a few old friends. Oh do I Club? Only when I have to, most of the time i will be with my clients. Oh well, i know, boring life. this is why I am single eh?

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people approach me in these years but they are not my kind and lets say they are pretty much not acceptable. Okay, lets face it, I am not ugly and I am actually pretty, good looking. am i fat? Oh for god sake I am not fat at all! the only not-so-wonderful about me will be my height, I am only 156cm.

it has been years not seeing him and why now again?

staring at the meeting room thru my office, the familiar face of his made me feel somehow sad. We used to stay at the same student accommodation during my university days. those days were childish and stupid.

There was a Starbucks at the lobby of our place, everyday he will get himself a cup of coffee before going off to class. Starbucks was too expensive for me, however, i saved every single penny just to get a cup of house coffee once a week, because this is the best way or i have to say the only way to stay with him for awhile. All those years, I never talk to him before and I was scared, i got no confident at all, who am i? a short and plum nerd that always carried loads of programming books? Why would someone like him wants to talk to me? Nevertheless, there are always loads of girls talks to him while waiting for his coffee.

"Stella, are you ready for the meeting?" My designer asked me

"Oh.. Yes." I answered. what am I afraid of? he never remembers me and today he will never recognize me since I am so different compare to before. I am not that ridiculously stupid nerd any more. I am Stella, I owned one of the fastest growing company in Asia. I deal with people all around the world, why am i still afraid of him? french boy

this is my assignment but i thought of asking for everyone's opinion. is a waking dream.

I woke up on the ground. I opened my eye and the sunlight was too strong i used my hand to cover my eyes and slowly removed my hands. I saw a few red and blue birds flying around, they look like those in Walt Disney's Cinderella animation.

I rose and saw a waterfall in front of me. I see carefully, there was a little blonde boy scouting down there with a stone on his hand. My six sense tell me that he is a French. He has a pair of huge blue eyes, he looks very animation just like Honey from Ouran High School(Japanese Animation). He is wearing a light blue polo tee and a white shorts. He is staring at me as if im an alien. He ran to me with a smile on his face. He hold my left hand and asked:

"Big sister, who are you?"

I didnt know what to do, i dont feel right to revelled my real self to him so i told him a name of my favourite actress "Isabella".

He did not let go my hand instead he drag me to the deep forest. We reached a cliff. He told me we are suppose to go to the opposite of the cliff. I him how can we do that and he told me to close my eyes for 5 seconds.

After 5 seconds I saw a series of beautiful translucent broken path. it looks colourful due to the reflection of the sunlight. The french boy asked me to cross the path. I asked him what's at the other end. he said everyone. I asked again, who is everyone. he simply answered:

"the goods and the bads"

I followed him and crossed the path. The path is soft and fluffy, as if im stepping on candy floss.

Finally i reached the opposite of the cliff. I saw a huge apple tree and i started to look around, there are oranges, and strawberries tress as well. I looked at the ground and i saw some dry brown leafs, and a red apple on the ground. I was to pick it up but the boy stopped me. He told me it's poisonous. He hold my hand again and asked me to follow him, he is going to bring me to his mother's, which is an inn in the deep forest.

Along the way, i saw some beautiful light blue flowers that looked very much like Sakura(cherry blossom). The blue sakuras were falling like snow, the scene was very beautiful. I reached a cottage, i suppose it's the inn. There are both huge white mountain behind the inn.

I shut my eyes and opened the door of the inn.

"Sweetheart are you ready for work today?" Asked a middle aged women

Her name was Tiffany. Aunt Tiffany was my only relative left. I was a her husband's daughter. Few years ago, my parents passed away because of SARS. My parents were doctors, just like aunt Tiffany's husband. Three of them volunteer to work for the SARS patients and my uncle and my father passed away not long after and followed by my mother as well.

"Yes." I said and walked out to the cafe.

"There you go." she passed me a cup of tea "You are still a little girl inside."

"What makes you think so?"

"You hate coffee." She said and laughed

"Aunt Tif..." and i stared at my watch "Oh no! im going to be late.." again..

"I will see you tonight at dinner!" I ran out of the cafe and ran to my car

"Erm, no. "I answered "I thought you were someone i know." I said. Im very certain it's him, that voice.

"Oh.." and we did not talk anymore

This was the most awkward moment in my entire life. i cannot believe i was sitting in front of my 4 months old my ex boy friend and his soon to be girlfriend. what is going on?

well, calm down. let me think. okay, im suppose to meet up my besties but they told me they bump into a friend which apparently is a friend of my ex as well and... and.. when i arrived, everyone including my ex and the girl were sitting there. they left no choice but to sit and eat quietly.

Finally the planed was landed on the ground. Due to it's a budget airline, we didnt not actually land at a place the planes should landed but some where a bus was waiting for us to fetch us to the main terminal.

Since i did not changed, I were sitting on the beach looking Patricia and a few girls playing volleyball. Kate walked to me and sat next to me.

"Who is he? The Terrius." Kate asked

"A friend." Is he really just a friend? Terrius, a good looking blonde with dark grey eyes. I know him thru one of the clubs in my university 6 months ago, he was my senior. back then, he didnt know i was in a relationship, we got really close and i realized i have feeling toward Terrius, i stop seeing him because i felt bad every time i looked at Alex.

Nevertheless, i too know that Alex has feeling toward the flat nosed girl as well but i told myself, as long as i do more we will be together. At the end of the day, im to stress up i gave up. Think about it, it wasnt about Terrius or the flat nosed girl but our relationship wasnt going anywhere, we are not made for each other.

"Why are you doing this to yourself? This is not a competition, is okay to be single for awhile." She scolded me

"Terrius, is someone important to me." I said and i quickly cover up my mouth with my hands. why am i saying this? i got no clue at all.

"Hey both of you, come up here! the view is awesome" cried a girl named Eve standing on a huge stone

"It's dangerous..." I said and walked up and i saw 3 guys were snapping the photos of the my friends. "Hey! What are you doing!?" I asked

"Shouldn't you ask for permission!?"

"Why, you nasty girl!" one of the man grab my hand tightly and pull me to the edge of the huge stone. the girl was screaming because if the man let go his hand at that moment im going to fall into the ocean.

"Are you going to throw me into the ocean!?" I asked

"Oh, yes im going to!" he said and let go of his hand. When i was falling down i saw Terrius was running toward me and he jumped.

he carried me back to the beach and put me down.

"I have called for doctor." Said Kate

"Im fine, i dont need a doctor." I said

"Who do you think you are!?" Terrius asked me sharply "You are just a girl! What the hell are you thinking!? you threaten those people!? asked them to throw you into the ocean without thinking you can swim!?"

"I did what i should do. shouldnt i stop them!?" I cried "Before my friends photos go wild in the internet!?"

"I want you to apologize to everyone for your reckless action!" Said Terrius

"Im sorry for troubling you to save me and i dont think im wrong!" I said and walked back to the hotel.

The buffet dinner was rather quiet. No one dare to say anything because Both of us werent talking to each other.

"Sweet, lets go get some food?" Asked Kate

"Okay." I said and rose.

"Dear, i think you should really apologized to Terrius."

"WHY!?" I asked. even Kate thinks im wrong. wtf

"He was very worry about you. He jumped into the ocean without second thought."

"I.." totally forgot about 'worrying' all of them

When i was back on the table, Terrius has already left. However there are two peeled prawn on my plate. I stared at Eve.

"He peeled it and claimed that he is very tired." She said

He still remember that i love prawn however im allergic to it?

"Why arent you eating the prawns?" He asked

"Oh im lazy" I said

"I will peel it for you." he smiled

"Thank you." i answered

"Do you want another one?"

"Oh no, i cant take too many of it, im sensitive to it but i love it." I answered "so, two would be enough"

I walked into the hotel room and he was sleeping on the sofa. I walked into the washroom quietly.

I unlock the door after i changed and start brushing my teeth. I feel really awful, i totally forgot that there are still people worry about me.i thought i lost Alex and there wont be anyone else and i never know that im someone that will worries Terrius.

"Do you know i was very worry about you?" he asked and hugged me

"I didnt know what should i do when the man was about to throw you into the ocean." he said "I know you dont used to depend on anyone after your broke up, but please im here for you."

"I will worry about you?" he asked

"Look at me, do you know how sad was i when i found out that you was avoiding me back then?"

I woke up at 12pm. I couldnt sleep last night until 5am. I cant stop thinking those days when we were still in university. those days, everyone thought that we were in a relationship. we were, i guess just that both of us didnt realized it, or mayb im the only idiot who didnt realized about it.

i stared at the celling and suddenly i see a pink balloon flew over. i sat up and look around. balloons. pink and light purple balloons. is all over the room. what is going on? I quickly woke Terrius who was sleeping next to me up.

he pulled me toward him "I love you" he said and kissed my forehead.

i stepped into the restaurant and i saw my sisters were already there waiting for me.

"You are late." said my sister

"As usual" followed by Zoe, a friend of my sister.

I was early for the lunch today because i couldn't sleep last night. There are so many thoughts in my mind. my relationship is certainly in a very dangerous stage. i still remember the first day i saw him at work, even though he didnt noticed me.

I was an intern in the architecture firm. As an intern i didnt gain much attention from my bosses. All i got is tons of hand drew drafts that needed to be draw into AutoCAD. I work form 9am to 5pm. i go home on time and didnt really have any strong relationship with any of my colleagues. I used to reject all of the dinner invitation with them and even movie section. I am too lazy to put in effort to social with them because I know, all i need is experience to build my resume. All I want is to be forgotten by everyone here after this 3 months of internship. Of coz there are some people that really annoyed me and feel like slapping her every morning when i see her. However, i ignored. ignorant is bliss.

After working for about a month. I saw a tall and lean man with short hair, glasses and pair of really shinny earrings walked into the office and ignored everyone. He talked to one of my colleague that most of the people in the company adores her even myself. he passed something to her and walked into a room that i always thought it's empty. i wonder who is he. I turned back and i saw the annoying women is laughing with the adorable girl. i bet they know him or maybe everyone in the office knows him except for me.

"Everyone, we have to do OT tonight." Said my manager.

Is not like we have a choice. However, today is my mother's birthday how could i miss it? What am i suppose to do?

I manage to tell my manager i need to leave for few hours for some reason and will be back by 9pm. I walked into the meeting room and i saw everyone there. including the guy with shinny earring. I didnt really look at him. i was too lazy to do what im not suppose or appointed to do so. im tired. all i felt like doing at that moment is to shower and craw into my soft and comfy bed.

"Ahh.." My coffee cup has over filled with piping hot water. It hurt my hand.

"Woah!" He cried and quickly turn off the coffee machine "Are you okay?" He asked

It's the guy with shinny earrings, i thought.

"Hello?" He repeated

"Yea.. I am fine." I answered "Thank you"

"Are you sure? The water is boiling hot." He said calmly

"yea." I said and put my hand on the sink prepare to turn on the water

"Hey, dont do that." He cried and took some burn cream from the cupboard. "Use this."

"Is not right to expose your hand to water after you got burn."

"Oh, ok." I said i applied some of the burn cream on my hand

"Are you new here?" He said

"Not really Im here for about a month" just that you didnt notice me i thought.

"I didnt noticed you." He said and quickly added "I dont mean.."

"Is okay." I said and thought he actually looked kinda cool. I dont know what is it about but his shinny earrings suits him well.

"Nate." He said

"Huh?"

"My name"

"Elvina." I answered and walked out the pantry

She looks very special. huge eyes and fair skin. of coz she isnt hot but somehow, is attractive. is she the pretty new girl Jason cant talking about? he thought and have a sip of his coffee.

Everyone was laughing and joking in the meeting room. I guess this is how OT suppose to be like.

"Nate you are surprisingly quite." Said the adorable girl "Are you afraid of Elvina?"

"What are you talking about?" He said, raised his left eyebrow and joked "I am going to fire you."

"Im not afraid of you" She answered

"So how's the girl you are going after?" Asked a guy named Jason

"I dont know." He said "I have lost hope"

"Who is she?" Asked the annoying girl

"Some random girl works in the same building as us." Jason answered

He looks calm and fine. didnt seemed to be disturbed at all. "She is nothing special, is a kinda of feeling that attracted me."

" I wonder why did she rejected you." Said the adorable girl

"She didnt, she is holding me."

"Isnt it a kind way of rejection?" Said the annoying girl

"I dont know." He answered and continue doing whatever he was doing

After a few days.

"Hey why are you still here?" He asked

"Oh, i need to get everything done by today." I answered

"Why?" he asked "It's friday night, go have some fun"

"I wont be working anymore." I simply answered

"Why?" He asked

"Im an intern. today is my last day." I said

"Oh... So you will be start schooling soon?" He asked

"Not so soon, i will have another 2 months of holiday." I said and smiled

"Wao.. enjoying." He said and smiled

"Where are you studying?" He asked

"Brisbane." I answered

"Cool! I was there last month for our project."

"Oh really. "

"Let me help you."

"Is okay, im cool." I rejected his offer

"Neah, buy me supper and we will be cool." He simply said

"Actually i left 2 more and i will be done."

"Let me help" he insisted.

"Okay."

After that day, we start to text each other rapidly in a week.

"I just got home from work, it was a crazy night" he texted me

"It's 12am. must be crazy."

"Yea, how was your day? slacking at home?"

"Erm.. relaxing not so much on slacking."

"Lets have dinner tomorrow."

"Okay. Hey can i tell you something but you promise me not to tell anyone?"

"Sure."

"mmm.. Better not. i am afraid that i will regret"

"Tell me or else you will be really regret" he knows what is it about

"I think i like you." I replied his text without thinking

"Yer Grace, this is for you." Said the young boy from the stable

"Who was it from?" The duke asked the boy

"Oii not sure Yer Grace, it was a small boy. but it was too dark. Oii cant see." Said the boy "He said is urgent Yer grace."

"Very well, thank you." The duke answered.

He looked at the envelop and saw the seal of the family of Von Voltaire. Von Voltaire a well honored Austrian family. he heard of them the last time he visited his grandmother in Austria. He wonder what do they want from him.

"What is the matter my friend?" Asked George

"Mrs Von Voltaire has sent me a letter." He said "and it is urgent"

"Von Voltaire?" He was surprise

"I am afraid, Yes." He answered and read the letter and he face changed. he did not say a word to George but kept the letter into his pocket and walked into the ballroom.

"Oh my, I cant wait to ride with his grace." Brigitta said to the maid while she was changing into her smart riding suit.

"I am sure his grace is very excited as well." Said the maid

"I hope so." She said with a smile

She walked into the stable and saw the duke was talking to the young boy who works in the stable.

"Good morning." She said shyly

"Morning Brigitta. You are punctual today." The duke teased

"I am always your grace." She said and blushed as if she remembered something "except for sometimes."

"Well well." The duke laughed. "I heard you are planing to ride Thunder the other day."

"Thunder?"

"The best horse in this stable"

"Oh yes." She said with her sparkling eyes and she suddenly remember she needs the devil's permission "May i?"

"I am not sure how good is your riding skill, but i suppose it should be fine since thunder is in a good mood today." He replied while patting the horse

"Thank you." She answered

"Since you have chosen my best horse, i shall go for my favorite horse then."

"Isn't thunder is your favorite since it's the best horse?" She asked

"Surprisingly, no." He answered and climbed up to a beautiful black stallion "My favorite is Dragonfly."

They went for a walk in the square. thunder was a white female horse. it was wild but it not difficult to control. according to the duke it was much more difficult to control when it mood was bad. However dragonfly is always calm and soft. sometimes it might be a little playful. she can see why is dragonfly the duke's favorite.

After riding the duke invited her for breakfast at one of the cafe in the city. This was her first time having breakfast in such a beautiful cafe. The pastries were great. she cant explained how much she enjoyed.

"Brigitta, do you have any relative that is still alive?" He asked "Forgive me but.."

"Is fine your grace. Yes, i suppose my relatives in Austria is still.. alive." She cant find a better word to describe either

"Are they the Von Voltaire?" He asked

"Yes your grace."

"Last night your aunt send me an urgent letter. they demand you to stay with them." He said and looked deep into Brigitta's eyes "What do you think?"

"Oh no your grace. please i promise i will get married as soon as possible. I dont want to go back to Vienna, to the Von Voltaire mansion"

"Is fine Brigitta, you can stay with me as long as you want. I am your guardian after all, there is nothing much they can do about. You dont need to rush your self to get married."

"Thank you your grace." She said quietly

"May i ask why are you so afraid of going back to the Von Voltaire?"

"Please dont ask me your grace. Before your lawyer claimed me back to your castle after my father passed away. I was looked after by them and it was a disaster."

"Yet, you ran away from me"

"Someone told me, you forgotten about me." She said softly "I thought if i don't run away i shall turned in to a old unwanted granny in the castle."

"I am sorry Brigitta." He said

"Good day your grace" Said Mr Rubin "Mrs Von Voltaire is here. she is waiting for you in your study."

"What is she doing here?" He asked

"She demanded to see you right after you went riding with Ms Brigitta"

"Do not tell Brigitta about this. I will talk to her later."

"Very well, your grace"

He walked into his study and saw a well dressed middle aged women was waiting for him

"May i help you Mrs Von Voltaire?" He asked

"Did you or did you not receive my letter your grace." She asked sharply with German accent

"I did and i have talked to Brigitta." He said "She doesnt want to return to Vienna."

"She is just a child, what do she know about? After all, We are her family." She said "And you are just a stranger."

"I am her guardian Mrs Von Voltaire I dont mean to be rude but i am legally own Brigitta" He added "if you want me to put it in this way."

"her grandmother is asking for her granddaughter and you must have know how old is my mother." She lied

"From what i heard, her grandmother has passed away." He actually attended the ceremony.

"You..."

"Now, may you excuse me. I have lots of work to do." He said "Mr Rubin please prepared a carriage for Mrs Von Voltaire." He said and opened the door of his studies

Why are they demanding for Brigitta? Is it about the money or something else? Why is Brigitta running away from them? arent they her family? Why would she rather stay with him, a stranger. He asked himself. and Brigitta walked in.

"They came to claimed me." She asked "Didn't they? I saw my aunt just now"

"in a matter of fact, they did." He said and look at Brigitta

"I shall return to Vienna." She said "I don't want to cause you any trouble your grace. You have been very nice to me. and i am grateful." She rose from the chair she stood "I will leave tomorrow morning."

"Brigitta, sit." He ordered "i need to know what is happening"

"No you wouldn't want to." She said and ran up to her room.

She locked herself for hours.

"Brigitta, please unlock this damned door and let me in." Said the duke

There was no answer. he suddenly remember how good was her escaping skill. He kicked off the door and noticed she was gone.

"Oh, Brigitta" He sat on her bed and whispered and laughed dryly.

How idiotic was he not noticing she might run away again. He shall leave all his work behind and leave for Vienna tomorrow morning. how is he suppose to have a good night sleep when he doesn't even know is she safe.

"Your Grace?" Asked the maid that used to serve Brigitta

"She is gone." he said

"What?"

"Yes, she is gone and i shall find her tomorrow." He said and "Or perhaps i should go now." He rose and walked out the room

"Mr Rubin i am going to Vienna now. immediately." He said while walking down the stairs

"Very well, your grace." He said "Do you need me to go along?"

"No, i can go on my own." He said "I might be there for one or two weeks"

oh Brigitta when are you going to stop escaping from me? he asked himself.

She has been here for a week. She know that the duke wouldn't bother to look for her. However, she can't explain how much does she miss him. He was one of the most dashing man she has ever meet. His smile and captivating dark eyes.

"brigitta, you are well aware that tomorrow is the ball for Maria's 16 birthday." She said "I expect the dress should be done by tomorrow."

"But aunt, i dont even know how to sew."

"Figure it out by your self." She said and walked out the tiny little dirty bedroom

She was back here and her aunt planned to married her to a half died old man. She thought it would be fine since he is dying so soon. she didnt care much except for praying the duke will be happy and hope that he will believe in love again.

She has a hobby. she used to draw out every dresses she hopes to own. she used to design tons of dress after look at the dress in the magazines while she was in the duke place. Since he is so rich, she is able to own almost every dress she drew. the other day she was drawing and her cousin Maria saw it. She demanded for the dress and the tailors in Vienna cant make it on time because it requires lot of time to put on the little details. Then her aunt ordered her to make it.

She was so worried. she cant even sew. what is she suppose to do? she cant be sitting down crying. she should start working. "Oh papa, i know you heard me, please help me" She pray in her heart.

It has been mid night. she still can sew a nice based for the dress. she didn't know what to do. she sat on the floor and her tears eventually rolled out. She heard someone knocked her window and she ignore it she thought it will be some wild animals and again she heard it. she open her curtain and she saw a familiar face. it was the duke!

She quickly open the window "What are you doing here your grace?"

he did not speak but hugged her tightly "How could you run away from me again? How dare you?"

"I didn't want to trouble you.." She said quietly

"It took me a week to figure out where is the Von Voltaire mansion." He whispered "Why is it so secretive my dear?"

"I cant tell you now. I am in an emergency." She said and stared at the drawing she did and the horrible dress based

"What is this?" he took the white based and look at it.

"Oh no please don't laugh. it suppose to be the based of this dress" She showed him her drawing

"And you drew this?" he asked and thought how talented was her

"Yes."

"Well, well." He said "Lets escape and we dont need to figure this silly thing out."

"Oh no.. I cant." She said "i have an engagement"

"With who!?"

"An half -dead old man."

"And who gave you the permission?" He asked

"My.. my.. family.." She said quietly

"I shall figure this out with you and i will leave before the sky turn bright." he said "And i will see you tomorrow as a guardian." He said

"Will you canceled the horrible engagement and .. and..."

"And whatever you asked for."

"Oh thank you so much." She said and hugged him "I pray everyday, hope that you will be happy."

"Did you pray to see me again?"

"Oh no.. I am afraid his lord will think that I am too greedy."

"Oh Brigitta, please dont run away again." He said "You horrified me. I am afraid you might be in danger or you might be snatched like the first time i met you." He kissed his forehead.

"Oh no.. i will not run away from you again." She said "I shall never."
