One week later…

“Emily, there is a bouquet of flower for you!” Emily was woken up by the noises from downstairs. She grabbed her jacket and ran toward downstairs. She saw a bouquet of flower on her dining table. It was her favorite flower, calla lily. She was surprised because nobody knew she likes this flower and she had not received any bouquet for years. She was staring at the bouquet and suddenly she saw there was a card in the middle of the bouquet:

Thank you for buying the collection of “Eternal Love”. But the most importantly, you believed in eternal love! I had persuaded a lot of people but it seems to be failed. Most of them had been hurt in their love life and do not dare to believe in “love” again. They would rather believe eternal love doesn’t exist than stepping into love again. You are the special and the lucky one, because you chose to believe it. I heard that you were touched by the love story of my parents too. I am very happy about it and I would like to invite you for a dinner as a token of appreciation. If you agree, please wait for me to pick you up at 7pm tonight. Thanks.

“How can he track my house address?” Emily remembered that she never give her address to the promoter that day. Emily was struggling whether to attend the dinner or not because it is very dangerous to dine with a strangers and it is also very rude to decline his sincere invitation… It was 6.30p.m yet she still cannot make up her mind.

“White dress or jeans?” “Ponytail, updo or let it down?” “Pumps, heels, wedges or what?” There are so many questions popping in her mind, she really had no idea how the designer looks like, whether he is tall or short, handsome or ugly and where is the restaurant? Is it very formal or just they are going to eat at the hawker stall?

After considering for quite some time, she decided to wear her knee length white dress with her simple yet elegant pump and let her hair down.

It was 7p.m. sharp. An elegant Mercedes Benz CLS350 stopped in front of her house and a smartly dressed gentleman walked out from the car. He was shocked when he saw her because he thought she was an angel. Emily was surprised too because she never thought the designer is so rich and HANDSOME! His face features is totally perfect and he has the model’s body shape. She thought he was walking out from the cool car from her Bazaar Magazine.

“Miss…Miss…Are you ready to come up to my car?”

“Oh..sorry…of courseee….”

“You looked very pretty, Emily”

“Thanks. You looked very smart too, Kelv…erm…Kyle! So where are we going for our dinner?”

“You looked very excited! Hmm, just sit back and I’ll bring you to a special place.”

“Special? How special?”

“Very special”

“Very special as like what?”

“Why are you so curious my little angel?”

“Angel? You are calling me angel?!”

“Yup, you looked like an angel to me.”

Emily blushed and she did not know how to continue the conversation. She just kept quiet and listens to the music played in his car.

“There’s only 1 thing 2 say 3 words 4 you….”

“I LOVE YOU”

“HUH?”

“Hey, please stop kidding me!”

“I am not kidding you, I am serious!”

Emily blushed once again and she pretends she was sleeping because she thinks the designer is just a pervert and she should be more careful.

“Emily, we had arrived.”

“Arrived? This is a beach, what can we eat at here? I did not see any restaurant here! What are you trying to do to me? Are you going to rape me and throw me down to the ocean? STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!!

“SHHHH…” Kyle put his index fingers on her mouth.

“Just follow me, I promise I wouldn’t eat you, rape you or throw you into the sea. Trust me.”

“No, my mum said it is very dangerous to follow strangers to places which is dark and not crowded”

“Trust me for once okay? I will definitely give you a good memory.”

“O…kay” Finally she stepped down from the car but she was following at his back with a distance of 1 meter.

“Hey! Can you walk faster or closer to me? I am not a monster, I won’t eat you!”

“No, I am very scared. Oh Jesus Christ.”

Kyle had no idea what’s wrong with this girl and he ran to her and carried her up immediately.

“Put me down! Put me down! You Pervert!”

“SHUT UP!”

He carried her and ran on the beach for a few minutes.

“Wao. It’s so beautiful!” Kelly saw there were 2 tables placed on the middle of the beach and there were candles on the table.

“Oh MY! It’s a candlelight dinner at the beach!” Emily whispered in her heart. She couldn’t believe that he actually prepared all these romantic stuff.

“So now you have seen the tables and the chairs and the glass and the candles and the whatsoever, you still wan to lie on my hand?” asked Kyle.

“Oh NO, put me down now!” screamed Emily and she was blushed.

Both of them were seated and the dinner is served.

“So, you are satisfied with your dinner?” asked Kyle.

“Yea, it is very romantic to dine in the middle of the beach. How you manage to prepare all these? It’s unbelievable!”

“Oh, I bought down this beach so it is up to me to do whatever here.”

“You BOUGHT this BEACH?”

“Yes. This place is very memorable to me. My parents came here for their first date. My mum always mentioned about this beach when I was a kid. I promise her that I would try my best to buy this beach and protect it.”

“Oh, that’s so sweet!”

“Yea, Thanks. you had heard about my parents’ stories, aren’t you?”

“Yea, I heard about it from the promoter that day. I am so touched about the true love between your parents. So you found your eternal love?”

“Yes. Definitely” Said Kyle while showing his diamond ring on his ring finger.

“Oh. You had married?”

“Hmm.” Kyle just smiled and did not answer her question.

“So your wife knew you brought me out for dinner?”

“Yes.”

“May be you should bring your wife along next time.”

“Sure sure.”

Emily felt quite disappointed when she heard that he was married. She thought it was weird because she simply felt in love with this guy that she had just met once. She kept reminding herself to forget about it and leave the place as soon as possible.

“So you want to have sex on the beach?” asked Kyle out of sudden.

“WHAT? Sex on the beach? You PERVERT” screamed Emily and she was about to slap Kyle.

“WAIT! I mean the cocktail “sex on the beach”! Not the “sex” you are thinking about, dirty minded little woman.”

“Oh, cocktail. Erm, sorry I was err err…” Emily felt embarrassed with her action just now and she blushed.

“You look very sexy when you blushed”

Emily dare not look at Kyle and close her face with her palm.

“Hey, don’t be shy!” said Kyle while trying to move her palm from her face.

Emily’s heart beat quickly when Kyle’s hand touched her. She felt very weird with the emotion she’s having. She tried to convince herself that she is not into him but she just can’t control her heart beat.

“Hey this is your cocktail! Thank you for buying the “eternal love” series of jewelry. Cheers!”

“You are welcome! Cheers!”

Emily dare not look at Kyle and continues to sip her cocktail. She thinks that the cocktail taste quite good but she felt a bit of tipsy. Out of sudden, she saw something blinking in her cocktail glass. She thought it was because of the tipsy but it looked so real! She started to stir the cocktail and she saw a ring in the cocktail glass!

“Kyle, err, why is there a ring inside the cocktail glass? Did you drop it accidentally?”

“No, the ring was for you, my wife!”

“Huh? For me? Your wife? What are you talking about?”

“I had sworn to God that I will marry the lady who bought the “eternal love” series of jewelry! So you are now my wife!”

“Wait! I thought you said you are married and you just showed me your wedding ring!”

“Yes it is my wedding ring but it’s a pair with the ring you holding now and it is from the “eternal love” series!”

“But you said your wife…”

“I said my wife knew I brought you here for dinner because you knew about it and you asked me to bring my wife along next time and I said yes because I will always bring you along with me! Would you marry me, Emily?”

“Oh, this is too fast. It’s like watching a movie!” Emily whispered to herself.

“Emily, I am very sure that you had feeling towards me too and I promised I will always love you and take good care of you forever! Most importantly, you will be my eternal love! Would you marry me?”

“Yes, I do” said Emily. She blushed again but finally she dare to look into his eyes and smiled to him.

Eternal Love

Emily was window shopping at the new shopping mall nearby her house. Although she just received her salary but she did not have the mood to spend the money. Her mind was all about the scene she saw that morning.

She was on her way to work and she saw a familiar figure at the street next to her office. She could not believe what she saw and keep reminding herself it’s not true. She just cannot believe that her boyfriend was hugging another girl and on their way to her favorite café. She dare not look back and ran into her office instead. The scene kept replying in her mind and she had totally no mood to work. He was her first love and she loved him with all her heart. She never betrays him, not even lied to him. She thought he would be her only love and would married to him when their financial status is stable. She had been together with him for 5 years but she never sees her boyfriend smiled so happily when he was hugging another girl. Her heart ached so badly and the tears flowed non-stop. She decided to take half day leave from her office to chill her mind.

Suddenly, she was attracted by a set of jewelry displayed in the window of the shop. “Eternal Love” is the theme of that set of jewelry. She wondered the existence of eternal love and felt childish with the theme.

“Miss, are you interested in that set of jewelry?” asked a promoter.

“No. I just wonder is there any eternal love?” said Emily.

“Of course there is, Miss. This is the latest collection designed by our famous designer. He believed that owner of this collection of jewelry will definitely find eternal love someday.”

“I think this is only a trick you all used to attract the buyer.” said Emily without looking at the promoter. She thinks that there is no eternal love as she put so much effort in her relationship but now everything is gone.

“Miss, don’t be so pessimistic. May be you do not believe in eternal love now but once you wear this collection of jewelry, your true love will appear soon.” said the promoter.

“No, I seriously do not believe in eternal love. I just dumped by my 5 years boyfriend. I saw him hugging another girl walking into my favorite café. Now you tell me whether I should believe in eternal love or not?” asked Emily with a depressed tone.

"You should, Miss. The designer had faith in himself and the buyer. He hoped that the owner of the jewelry is blessed with eternal love. He used 3 years to design and make this set of jewelry. "

“3 years? So what? I do not care how long it takes to design this freaking jewelry!”

“Miss, there is a story behind this set of jewelry.”

“Story?”

“Yes. An eternal love story. The designer always believes in eternal love because he saw it from his parents. His father is in love with his mother since they are 17. They knew each other in high school and have fallen in love with each other so madly. Their relationship is very close and one day, his mother found out that she was pregnant but both families did not allow them to get marry and banned them from meeting up. His mother then ran away from her house and went to a village in Oregon. She work hardly everyday and raise up her son all by herself. She loved her son so much because he is the only prove of the love between herself and the father of the designer. 15 years later, the father of the designer was transferred to Oregon for 3 months. On the day before he left Oregon, he decided to visit to the village outside of the town because his colleague once went there and finds the village is very beautiful. When he was having dinner at a small restaurant in the village, he found out that the dish served by the restaurant is very familiar. He then asked permission to go into the kitchen and he found her in the kitchen. They were so shocked and touched to see each other because they still love each other deeply. Both of them hugged each other tightly and they swear they will never let each other go again. His father decided to stay in Oregon and they married each other later. But the story had not end yet. A few years later, a serious earthquake attacked Oregon and both of them were trapped underground for a few days. When the rescue teams found their body, both of them were hugging each other closely and their hand were held tightly. The designer was lucky enough that he was at a summer camp in California and avoided himself from the tragedy. He was so touched when he saw the dead bodies of his parents. He believed that his parents still love each other so much even though they had gone to another place. From there, he believed that love can be forever and eternal.” explained the promoter.

“Wow, in fact that was a touching story. They must be very lucky to find back each other after so many years and ended their life with the company of their loved one.” said Emily with tears running in her eyes.

“Yea. The designer promised himself to engrave the eternal love of his parents in his designs and therefore this collection is named Eternal Love. This collection was 100% handmade and there is only 1 set available. If you are interested in it, you should buy it down, Miss.”

“Is it really true that once I owned this jewelry I will find my true love?”

“Yes of course. You want to try it on?” asked the promoter

“Yea.”

“It suits you very well! It’s like specially made for you, Miss.”

“Wow, it looks superb on me. I think I will buy this.”

“Thanks, Miss. Alright, this is your warranty card for the jewelry. You can come back and polish your jewelry free for life and the most important one is, if you failed to find your true love in one month time, you can refund the whole set of jewelry and we will compensate you another USD10000.” said the promoter carefully.

“One month? USD10000? Are you kidding me?” asked Emily curiously

“No, I am not kidding with you. It is the promise of the designer.”

“Okay.”

“I hope that you can find your eternal love soon.”

“Thanks, bye.”

“Bye.”

As usual, Esther went to the Starbucks coffee shop beside her college after her class. She ordered chocolate frappucino as she need something to light up her day. She was not in a good mood, she just screwed her first quiz and she lost her favorite key chain this morning. She wanted to enjoy her afternoon with her favorite drinks in the comfortable coffee shop.

After she bought her drinks, she headed to the place she sits everyday. Suddenly, " Bang" a guy bumped into Esther and her drinks dropped on to the floor. Esther was so angry and she wanted to scold the bastard as loud as she can. But when she looked at the guy, she felt a electric signal passed from his eyes to her eyes. She is shocked, the guy's eyes are so gorgeous and his features are perfect. He is handsome! She never see such perfect looking guy before.

"Sorry miss, I'm so sorry about that. Do I hurt you? Can I buy you another drink? Hi miss, I'm so sorry about it. I said I could buy you another drink, why are you staring at me this way? Miss, I had apologized! Please don't be angry! Miss ! Miss! "

Oh my god, he is too perfect until Esther stun and looked at him for a long time.

"Huh? What? Oh, is okay. Don't worry, I'm fine."

"Chocolate Frappucino for you?"

"Ya. Please, thank you"

"Welcome, it is my pleasure. I think I have to go now. I apologize again, for what I have done just now. Bye. "

Oh, he is such a lovely guy. She just cant stop looking at him, she thinks she fell in love with this guy. However, everything came too fast, she never believe she can love someone at first sight and in such a short time. God must be joking with her. She is pretty and has so many admirers but she never like any of them. She is a typical Virgo, she only wants perfect stuff especially a boyfriend.

Esther felt very weird because she never see this guy although she had been living around this area for few years. She did not know his name, his number and where he lives, how is she going to meet him again? Oh..so sad..so sad...Esther told herself to forget about that guy because she knew that they are impossible to be together. She did not want to waste time in loving and waiting a stranger. She wanted to give up although he is so perfect. But, in her mind, she promised herself that she will fall in love with him if she met him again.

Next day, Esther went to the college as usual. She was quite happy because she only has Calculus class that day. Middle of the class, suddenly, there was 1 guy that knocked the door and came in. OMG, is him..is him..is the guy she met yesterday. "Why is him here?" "Is he a new student?" Esther was so excited and she started to smile at the guy.

"Class, we have a new guy today. Dean, please introduce yourself."

"Hi everyone, my name is Dean. I'm from Penang."

"Alright Dean, you are late today so you have to sit at the only empty space beside Esther."

Oh my god. When he walked to her place, he smiled at her. He still remembers her! She was very excited but she tried to hide her expression.

"Hi, we meet again."

"Hi."

They did not talk much in the calculus class. After class, Esther went down to the ground floor to wait her brother to pick her up.

"Hello, bro. Why are you so late? Where are you now? I had finished my class."

"Oh Esther, I'm so sorry. I'm afraid that you have to wait me for another half hour because I caught in a terrible traffic jam."

Esther sighed loudly because she had to wait her brother for so long and she had nothing to do. Oh, Starbucks! She can go to Starbucks and grab her breakfast. When she was walking to Starbucks, she thought of Dean. She could not believe that she met him again. Her heart start beating fast and she doubted that she fell in love with him. She told herself "If I met him in Starbucks today, I will fall in love with him."

Esther was enjoying her caramel machiatto and new york cheesecake at her favorite place. She can see the crowd that passing by Starbucks from the place.

Suddenly, she saw a familiar face. IS DEAN! She quickly grabbed the magazine on the table and pretending reading it. She don't want Dean to see her. He passed by her and she was relaxed because she knew he won't come in the coffee shop. But, she was totally wrong.

“Welcome, sir." She heard the barista and she quickly turned her head and looked at the entrance. Her heart started to beat very fast and her hands sweated. Is Dean! He came to Starbucks and she met him! This means that she has to fall in love with him! She couldn't believe so she blinked her eyes and looked at the entrance again. This time, she saw Dean waved to her and smiled at her.

Her mind went blank, the only thing she did was smile back to him.

"Hi, anyone is sitting here? Can I join you?"

"Oh, hi, sure, you can sit here."

"Thanks. Why are you alone here?"

"Herm, I'm waiting my brother to pick me up. How about you?"

"This is the second day I moved here. I do not have any friends and I do not know where to go."

"Oh I see. Why you moved to here? Where are your parents?"

"I came here to study. My parents had divorced and both of them had remarried. So, I have freedom to go anywhere I want."

"It must be very hard for you to live alone at this age."

"I'm used to it. Don't worry."

"Hey, my brother is here. I got to go. See you tomorrow in calculus class. Bye."

"Bye. Oh ya, you are very beautiful and I'm very happy to know you."

Esther blushed and she walked away shyly. Although Dean was not the first person to praise her, but she felt very happy. She was shocked because in the past 18 years, she was not soft-hearted. All of her admirers were rejected by a cold stare. Dean is the first guy that make her feel happy and nervous when she was together with him.

It's 7 in the morning. Esther was standing in front of her wardrobe, thinking what to wear to the college. Suddenly she saw a green color t-shirt that she never wears. She tried with a pair of jeans and it's nice. She was conscious with her dressing these days, she wanted to look nice in front of Dean. Suddenly, there was a weird thought came into her mind. "If he wears green tshirt and jeans today, I'll ask him for lunch and fall for him." Esther love to imagine and she's weird. She always comes out with stupid questions and she likes to bet with herself.

The way to college seems very long, she was very nervous and wanted to see how he dress. She can’t sit quietly in the class, she keep on look out of the class, can't wait to see him. Suddenly, a guy with green tshirt and jeans passed by but she cant see his face clearly. "Oh god, don't kidding with me. It must not be him. " God was not joking with him, it is Dean that dress in green tshirt and jeans. Esther felt like fainting when Dean waved at her. She couldn't believe everything come so true, whenever she bet with herself about Dean.

"Hi, Dean, are you free later?"

"Ya, I do not have any class after Calculus class. Why?"

"Can we have lunch together?"

"Sure."

Esther had no choice and asked him for lunch. She never asks a guy out before this, she was so shy and scared when she asked him out. They went to TGI Fridays to have their lunch. The restaurant environment is very nice. They chatted a lot that day, from their childhood to their family members, educations, hobbies, favorite movie and music and many more. They exchanged their mobile phone number too. Dean was very gentleman and he paid for their lunch. Esther was very happy and she fell more for Dean.

It's 3am in the morning, Esther still thinking about Dean. His smile, his spec, his face, his body, his emotions, actions, movements, etc..everything about him! She really fell in love with him. But she don't know what is in his mind. She scared that he already had another girl in his heart. Tears started to drop from her eyes. Although she is pretty and intelligent, she has low self-esteem especially in love matters. She had very strong feelings to Dean. She cant stop from thinking of Dean.

She started to imagine that they are together, they meet in the college and go to starbucks every day, they always go on vacation, Dean give him surprise on every Valentine's day and her birthday, they go to the same university and stay in an apartment together,they own their own business, they get married and many more romantic scenes...until she slept.

The next day when she woke up, she was so shocked that she received a few texts from Dean.

"Hi, Esther. It's 5a.m now. I could not fall in sleep the whole night. Can we chat?"

"I know it is ridiculous but my mind is full of you."

"I think I've fall in love with you."

"Can you be my girlfriend?"

"When you see this message, can you please think about the questions I asked you earlier?"

"If you agree, please wear the white dress u wore on the day we first met."

Esther was so excited when she saw all the messages from Dean. She was touched. She couldn't believe that Dean fell in love with her too. She quickly changed into the white dress and went to the college. She wanted to tell Dean "Yes! I wanted to be your girlfriend so badly!" immediately. She can’t wait to meet Dean. "What will Dean do to me after he saw me in the white dress?" "Will he hug me and make few turns or he will kiss me excitedly?" Oh, Esther's mind was full of all the romantic scenes.

When Esther stepped into the college, she saw Dean wearing the shirt he wore on the first day they meet too. He looked good in the white shirt. He was holding a bouquet of red roses in his hand. He walked to Esther and gave her the roses. He then shouted at the corridor, "Esther is my girlfriend!" . The people in the corridor cheered and clapped their hands. Dean then hugged Esther and gave her a kiss. He said at her ears, "You look gorgeous today. Thank you for being my girlfriend. I promise I will bring lots of happiness to you."

All of Esther's imagination came true after that. Esther was very happy because she dare to bet to herself and stepped the very first step. Dean and Esther live happily ever after.
