"How dare he trapped me here!? he is a devil!" she asked the servant who is changing her clothes.

"Oh no miss. how could you said that Miss Brigitta? after all the duke is still in Indian at the moment." the servant answered quietly and left the room.

"I am going to escape from this terrible place. first of all i need a plan." She thought and she looked around. "I need something that able the run around easily and able me to climb over the huge wall of the castle." she opened up her wardrobe and found a simple dress. she simply packed a feel dresses with her and a novel that she was half way reading. after packing everything she doubled checked it and pushed her luggage under her bed.

"Margaret." She cried and a servant came in "Please inform Mr. Kurt that i need something for the ball next week. If he wouldnt mind he could give me a cheque and i will settle is by myself." Mr Kurt is the lawyer he assigned to fulfills her need while the devil isnt around. "Go now, it's urgent." She repeated

"Yes, Miss." The old servant answered and walked out the room

"London" She whispered to herself while looking at her train ticket and she smiled happily. "Arh....Help...!" She cried and ran to the man who snatched her train ticket. "Stop.. I say stop at once!" She cried while chasing the man. "return my ticket to me! that all i left! Stop there!"

"Arhh....!" She cried again she knocked on a gentlemen. "im so sorry, im in a hurry...." She wanted to run however the gentlemen hold her arm.

"A young lady like you shouldnt be running around the train station without any grace." The man said

"My..my.. ticket....!" She cried and saw the thief jumped up the train.

"Stop yelling." He ordered

"Do I know you sir?" She asked in a very rude tone

"No." He simply answered

"And why are you stopping me sir?" She asked again and had a clear look of him. He is attractive, he is about 30 she thought. his dark eyes captured her.

He couldnt find an answer he just doesnt like the way she act as a young lady. So, he cleared his throat.

"Sir, the ticket was what i left. I couldnt afford another ticket to London." She said and scooted down.

"Your grace.." A middle aged man whispered "We are about to leave"

"Get her another ticket." The man said and wanted to walked away

"Stop." She said "Where do you think you are going!?" She asked

"I have asked my footman to get you another ticket to London." He answered

"You ought to do that." She said with tears on her cheeks "But.."

He raised his eyebrows when the word "but" came out from her mouth

"But, you shall pay for your unnecessary act." She said

"Well, perhaps you should tell me how can i repay you lost."

"I need 2 months of free accommodation in London, and a closet of beautiful dresses from Paris for my parties and balls. "

"Are you out of your mind?" He said gently adjusting the glove on his right hand

"No. i suppose what im asking for means nothing to you, but a lot to me." She answered

"Why should i pay for your accommodation and dresses?" He asked

"Dresses from Paris. A closet of it." She corrected him

"Yes but and i dont even know who are you." he stared at her. A fairly young girl with a long black hair, a dark blue eyes and a very pale skin. he wont deny that she will be a success in London if she got what she asked from him.

"Who am i is not important, Sir. All you have to know is because of you sir, i missed my train."

"Very well, Mr. Rubin help her on her luggage, she is coming with me." He said

"But your grace..."

"Listen to me." He said

The cabin was very beautiful and grand. she suppose he is not just a rich man, he is somebody like him. she must not tell who is she to him otherwise he might send her back to the horrible place she ran out from.

"Im the Duke of Kent." He said after a sip of champagne "I want to know who are you." he started at her

"I told you..."

"Is not important?" He asked before she could finished her line

"Yes." She answered quietly

"No, im planing to settle you down in the villa i owned in London." He said

"Are you trying to say that im going to stay with you?" She asked

"Yes."

"I cant tell you who am I." She said "Forgive me."

"Form the material of your dress i could tell you are from a fairly rich family. why are you alone? is not right for a young lady like you to travel alone."

"I ran away from the horrible place." She said "They locked up there after papa died."

"So im right.. go on please, i wouldnt want to stay with a stranger."

"My father was an Earl. He passed away and assigned a devil to be my guardian." She said slowly "However the devil is always in india, perhaps the old man had already forget about me. I have stayed there for 2 years, all he did was sending me cheques. I am 19 now, yet im still alone."

"You were neglected and you missed the parties and balls when you are 17?" He asked

"Yes." She nodded.

He was silent. he was thinking about the child of his late friend. how old is her? he better make sure that she did not miss the balls and parties like this young lady. what a pity.

"it would be great if you could tell me who is your guardian?" He asked "I promise i will not send you back"

"I dont know." She said "if i have known, i wont be here alone. i suppose he shouldn't be young since he is a friend of papa."

"What a shame." He said "What's the lawyer's name?" He asked again

"Edison Ku..." She wanted to tell but she stopped

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Why should i believe you?" She asked

"Because you are going to stay with me?" Why shouldn't she believe him?

"Your Grace, you got a telegram from the country." Mr. Rubin walked into the cabin and said

he handed over the telegram "She ran away, wait..." He thought and he stared at Brigitta

"Since you ran away, where did you get the money for yout ticket?" He asked

"I told the lawyer i need money for the ball my friend invited me to, and it will be better if he could give me the cheque."

"How did you ran out of the place you stayed?" he asked again

"I climb over the walls and took a bus here." She said while looking out the window without noticing the changes in his expression "Oh my god! the train is moving...." She cried

"Brigitta " He said and smile

"Yes?" Oh no! how did he knows her name!? she looked at his eyes.

"I suppose im the devil you were talking about." He said and laughed

After working in the hospital for more than five years, he has never been so afraid of going to work before. Everyday, every minutes he and his working buddies try to save as much life as possible, but of coz when it comes to board meeting, people from the account department will crack all the honest and Innocent doctors up.

"I got a suggestion" said a man with a glasses "we should not admit nor treat anyone before they pay 50% of their total sum. Even is an emergency"

"You mean we need to calculate everything while the guy is dying and also preparing all the documents?" Asked Ivan "Not to forget to generate the bill!" He hit the table lightly to show his anger

"Doctor Ivan, i believe your patient are able to wait for 10 minutes since you are a psychiatrist." The man with glasses said sharply

"I am just making a statement!" Cried Ivan

"I think you dont get my point here. Do you know how many of them ran away without paying!?" The man said "How much do you want us to lost? or i have an idea why not, we just deduct all the lost from your income!?"

"I disagree!" Said the senior resident in the hospital "We are fighting for life eveyday, but you people are relaxing or looking at the numbers in your air-corned office. Do you know how many of them need us? do you know how many of them were dying yesterday? do you know 2 minutes late for a surgery might be able to kill someone? and you are aking us to wait for the 10 minutes of process? not to mention those who got into an accident and not able to contact their families and friends!" He was so pissed he stood up from his chair and threw the file towards to account manager

"Doctors! Do you know how lucky to have us here? We do everything that you dont know! People from the medical field never learn how to manage their finance." the accountant mocked

"I not going to buy this or listen to all this crap from you accountants. Any idiot who good in math can be you. Obviously we doctors and surgeons are smarter." One of the young surgeon argued

"Gentleman, calm down." The chairman of the hospital said "We are here to think of a solution. not to compare who is smarter. Issac, what do you think?"

"Sorry, pardon please?" He was thinking about what happened this morning, yes Tiffany

"How to solve the problem"

"Money" David whispered

"Oh.." He cleared his throat "How about erm.." damned he cant think of anything

"I dont care what do Issac think because i pretty sure he will be with us as in the people from the medical field. We will never accept your stupid, money minded, meaningless and this is just like you brainless idea!" the senior resident pointed his finger on the account manager and walked out the meeting room.

"Did you drifted to your sweet Tif just now?" asked david

"What was she doing there!?" He asked

"Obviously she was working."

"I thought she.. gosh!" she was upset with him the last time, didnt she?

"This is when you will turn up" Mocked David

"Let's go to starbucks!" Said Ivan and looked at David

"Maybe we should not. it will be very sardine pack now" Issac said

"No, is ok." said David

"I thought you guys just had it this morning?" He asked

"I was hungry this morning!?" tested Ivan

"Come on! why are you afraid of a college girl and she was surprisingly brave!?"

"No, im not prepared yet." he said

"Tif, did you heat up the Tuna finger sandwich the lady ordered?" A young man asked

"I have delivered it to her." She answered "Omg finally the peak hour is over."

"Yea, later is peak hour for washing dishes and cups." He replied

"True" She said "Hey I wanna buy a Hot Venti Latte, how should i key it in?" She asked

"Key in? Buy? Forget it. since the manager is not here why dont you just make one and drink it?"

"Smart!" She said

She made the coffee "Hey, leaving now. kay? and i took a chicken finger, i have key in that"

"Sure." He answered

While she was in the lift she thought what did David told her while he was waiting for his coffee during lunch hour

"Where's Issac?"

"There was an emergency, he is in the operation room"

"Oh I see"

"yea, here's a tip for you. He will not have a minute to have lunch, if possible send him a cup of coffee"

The lift have reached the floor of Issac's office she walked out and walked to his office She knocked his door however. there's no replied. She opened the wooden door and noticed he wasnt in his room. She left the coffee and the sandwich on his table and he walked in

"Hey.." She was stunned "got to go home now. bye." She said

She didnt not wait for his reply and wanted to walk out of the room. How can she be that brave in the morning and chicken out at this very moment? why cant she just tell him those were for him!?

"Tiffany, wait." He cried and walked to her

She stopped but she did not turn back "yes?"

"Thank you." He said and hold her hands "I know what are you thinking. i dont know what should i do with this relationship."

"I.." She didnt know what to say

He turned her to him and lightly kissed her forehead

"Doctor Issac, there's an emergency!" A nurse rushed into his room without knocking

"Issac!" Cried Ivan

"Sorry.. i was.."

"Drifting?" Asked the chief resident

"Mind your words, Doctor." said David "shall i refer you as newbie!?"

"sorry." Said a young man "Actually i need your advise."

"Who?" Asked Ivan

"Doctor Issac."

"What can i do for you?" asked Issac

"my resident has a young patient which is incredibly hot.."

"Main point."

"She was complaining about her gastric problem, however, we have ran though all the scan and scope and etc. "

"Nothing?"

"No. and guess what?" he said happily

"Im not interested in your guess what. but.. send all her report to my office and see at 4pm."

"But..."

"No but and get lost." Ivan said calmly with a cup of coffee on his hand

"So what is wrong with you?" Asked david

"I dont know.." He said "I dream of .." Tiffany. but how could he said that out?

"What?"

"I got married with Melissa." He lied

"God damned it." Said Ivan "not interested. i better check out how hot is the patient of newbie."

"Wait for me!" said David and both of them walked away.

"Tif, there are fire on your apron!" Cried the sous chef and pour a bucket of water on her

"Omg! thank you." She said

"What the hell is wrong with you!? this is a kitchen not a spa that allowed to drift away to your neverland! can you imagine how dangerous was that if he didnt noticed it?" Cried the head chef

"Im sorry." She apologized.

"Tif, what is wrong with you?" the floor manager asked

"I...I.."

"No I! before the day start, take a leave. rest for a day. the restaurant wont closed down, a day without you." said the head chef

"I.."

"Go.." The head chef repeated

"Terrius, we need to talk." Tiffany said on the phone

"About what?" He asked on the other side of the phone

"There's a lot of things happening these days. i dont know how to put everything into words.." She said while looking at a dark blue flash drive. she know that everything is still in her mind. no, she did not move on. how much she wish that Issac is here. But Issac is always Issac, Terrius is perfect but he cant be Issac

"Maybe we should talk about it during dinner?" He said

"can i ask you something?" She asked

"Yes."

"Do you know who is Sally?" She asked calmly

he was silent

"She came to me yesterday. there was something going on when you was in Japan." She said "I know it was before we are together."

"Im sorry. but.."

"I know.. i know..just that i cant accept all these even i already know who are you before we are together. I know that i should have expect all this and i thought i had. but i did not." She said and teared

"Listen, i really want to make this relationship work.." He said "But i was nothing good for so many years, you dont expect me to change immediately. I need some time"

She cant believe she did this. she was trying to put all the blame on him which she dont actually care. what's the big deal about his ex-lovers? she never care about it. is just that, she cant forget Issac.

"Im so evil." She said with tears

"What happened?" He asked. he was standing a 30 feet away from her, looking at her, but she never noticed.

"Im sorry, is not you. i was trying to put all the blame on you." She said "Who cares about your ex-lovers? they are just jealous because you are with me."

"Tif.."

"Actually, I need some time to.. omg this is hard.. i need to..need to.. forget someone. is unfair to you." she said "everything came too quickly and i cant manage to adapt. i wasnt ready for a relationship yet"

"is okay." he said softly "I understand, oh btw i will be returning to Japan on next week" he hang up the phone and turned to the other direction and walked away.

Maybe looking like a greek god doesnt mean he is able to get everything he wants. Love is unpredictable, is different from building a tower with all the accurate calculation and it will be stable. you cant calculate love, because there is no perfection in love.

"Good Morning, sir what would you like to order?" Tiffany asked with a black polo-Tee, a green apron on her waist and a cap. Oh yes, she is now a baristas!

"Are you new?" A middle aged man asked

"First day working in this outlet." She answered

"Where did you work before?" He asked

"One of the starbucks outlets in Sydney." She said

"You can actually transfer oversea!?"

"Nope, i resigned there and applied here." She said cheerfully

"Oh i see."

"Here is your coffee of the day. The total is 5 dollars."

The man passed her the money and she said "have a nice day, enjoy your coffee!"

She doesnt care even the store manager told her not to be so cheerful in the hospital's outlet. but she doesnt care, she wants to look like a sun! Yes, she stopped one semester because she was too lost. she need to get her spirits back. She returned to her home country and she got a job in a hospital's starbuck's outlet. Steven, Momoko and Eliot wasnt happy with her decision. However they manage to respect her and Eliot promised her to stay away from drugs. Can he be trusted? no idea.

"Morning Doctor! what can i do for you?" She asked cheerfully

"Is 8 in the morning. im surprise that you can be that happy." Said a lady doctor

"because is nice to serve you." She answered

"How do you know that I am a doctor?" The lady asked

"I can see from your look even without your white robe." She answered and passed her coffee to her

"I like you." She said while handing over her coffee and walked away.

She cant believe how many people actually rush to their outlet since 7.45am. And most of them are doctors. Residents cant afford starbucks because the price of starbucks is just too crazy in her home country.

"Morning Sir David!" She said happily

"Oh my god! Tiffany, since when you are here!?" He asked

"Today is my first day!" She cried

"Im glad to see you here." and he passed two tumblers to her "Coffee of the day for the Taiwan tumbler and Mocha for the Thailand's"

"No problem."

When the clock hit 9am, the sales slowed down. because everyone is ready for work. except for a man walked in quickly with black suits, white shirt and trying to work on his dark grey tie but doesnt seems to work. he walked to the outlet.

"take away, Latte, hot, less sugar, Venti." He said and stoned when he saw Tiffany

"Morning doctor Issac, the total is 22 dollars." She said cheerfully, she is prepared.

"Hi.." He didnt know what to say and he can feel that she is prepared for this scene

"22 dollars please." She said as if she doesnt know him

"Oh.. sorry.." He took out his wallet and gave her 30.

"This is your change, your coffee will be here immediately." She said "And your tie is .. sorry but.. the shape is funny. or silly." She mocked

"I..." He was speechless, what is going on? why is she here!?

"Come.." She said and he obeyed her and go nearer. She worked on his tie nicely even there's a table in between them "I usually charge extra for this but today is on house for you." She whispered as if giving him a warning that there will be more coming up and she is well prepared.

"Thank.. you.." First time in his life he was speechless! His brain was blank! she just flirted! wthell!

People were staring at her, her graceful way of walking, her beautiful and not to forget her limited edition handbag. she walked gracefully like a model walking on the stage to the coffee stand and ordered her coffee. she smiled while the baristas preparing her coffee. she gracefully and elegantly handed over the coffee and someone knocked her and pull her along with him.

"OMG!" She cried "help!! what's going!?" She was so worried and she notice the man was not pulling her hand but her limited edition handbag's handles! "Oh no!! let go!"She cried again "I said let go!!"

he ignored her and continue running as fast as he can

"I said let go!!! I will run with you! Let go!!!" She cried again and run as fast as him just to avoid loosen the handles or even afraid of the handles detached from the bag

"Arhh!" She cried

She fall on the ground and her handbag's handles were both broken! The man stopped threw her bag away and pull her hand and continue running

"Leave me alone!! My handbag!! My handbag!!!" She cried

after running for 5 minutes, he finally stopped. Eiffel tower was besides them but she didnt noticed that but looking at the both handles on her hands.

"You... you... bastard!" She cried "My limited edition handbag! do you know how much i paid for that!?" She asked "Not only paid for the bag but also the people, the wines! do yo know how much was it!?"

He didnt not answered her but bought 2 bottles of mineral water from the stall besides and passed a bottle to her.

"You..." She handed the water and drank half of it "You bloody fool! what do you want!? you threw my handbag away! omg! my LV card holder and my purse! you... you... son of a bitch! my handbag, my purse, my cardholder not to mention my blackberry!" she was so angry and she punched on his chest as hard as she can but he doesnt feel the pain at all.

He didnt say a word but sat down on a concrete sitter. and drink his mineral water calmly.

"Say something!" She walked to him and cried

He looked at her and he said "Send the bill to my office." he handed a name card to her

"Steven Young!?" She was stoned and she looked at him and finally she recognize is the famous photographer. She was stunned and stoned. Is him! the one that started off with his model career and turned into a famous photographer. Wait! but this doesnt mean he can do that to her!

"I dont care who are you! my handbag is limited edition. you did not only spoilt it but also threw it into the river. They only produced 5000 of these handbags and each one is handmade and different from each other! and not to mention there are only one is selling in France which is the one you threw into the river just now!" She said

While he was in deep thought another man walked over.

"Steven, i lost! damned how can you won again!?" The other man said

"You are looking like a mad women now." He said wanted to calm her down but

She was silent and he wanted to walked away and she pulled him

"Help! Someone is dying here!" The girl at the hot dog stand cried and 2 police walked over and numbers of people and camera flash appeared thanks to the famous face of his.

In the minute the police wanted to lock her, he said something and everyone stoned.

"Famous people like you! shouldnt be lying! i expect to see your wedding ceremony in the paper!"

"nonono.. it will just be a small ceremony..." He said "family only..."

"A small ceremony in milan" She added

"What!?" Is she crazy? telling the press all this shit!? didnt she know is just a damn lie?

"Milan!? Mr. Young, are you going to get married in Milan? Where and When?" Asked the reporter

"Answer them, since you are getting married so soon. i expect you have arranged."

"When is their holiday going to end?" Asked Clair and she ignored her husband again

"Tiffany emailed me the other day." said Terrius "Should be in 3 weeks time"

"I thought you are going to visit your mother in Taiwan?" She asked

"I went and I came back." He said "I am going to settle some stuff here and returning to Japan next week" he placed the newspaper on the bar counter and asked "Refill please"

Clair poured some coffee on his cup "Thank you"

"Damn you! I want my cup of coffee!!!!" Yelled Anthony

"Pour your self!" Answered Clair and placed the kettle infront of him rudely

"Anthony..."

" What?"

"Will you do anything if you know one of your students is on drug?" He asked

"Depends. if is just for fun, i wouldnt mind."

"What if he is addicted?" he asked

"Who are you talking about?"

"Eliot. it seems like, it's affecting his life." He said "Before that, i thought he just did it for fun like what we did in college. but he seems to be addicted."

"I thought he returned to Scotland?" asked Anthony

"I saw him taking it before the holiday, when i was in Tiffany's apartment." he answered "maybe he went back to Scotland now, i dont know."

"did you consult him or anything?"

"I wanted to, but i dont have the chance" he said "Tiffany seems to be very worried"

"I will try and talk to him when i see him" answered Anthony "His dad sent him to Aussie because he was too spoilt to be in UK. but now it seems like it isnt working"

"He father is one of the dukes in UK." Answered Anthony "if i am not wrong, should be Duke of Gordon."

"I never know he has a strong family background." said Clair

"Strong!?" Asked Terrius

"I was bored at home so i came back." She said with a fake smile.

"...." Terrius was silent and looked at the differents before she left Sydney and now. she doesnt seems right to him, infact he can feel that she was lying

"What are you doing so early in the morning?" Asked Anthony

"Coffee to go." Said Tiffany "I am going for work later!" She said cheerfully

"Work!?" Cried Anthony "Which ID firm will hire a blur case idiot like you?"

"Nope, im going to work at the fine dining restaurant down the street."

"As what?" Asked Terrius

"Chef!" She said

"You mean, washing dishes in the kitchen right?" Asked Anthony

"Can you stop it!?" Cried Clair "Give her some support!"

"Why would they hire you?" Asked Terrius "You dont have any experience."

"Did they interviewed you?" Asked Anthony

"I can tell why now." Said Anthony "There's really nothing good about you, but always full of confident on presentations and interview. i think that's your only talent."

"Your coffee is here.." Said Clair "Is on house to today. good luck." She said and smiled

"Thanks darling!" she said "Bye!" and she walked out th cafe

"Tif" Terrius cried

"Hey, you are here!" Said Tiffany and grabbed the right hand of the man "Is very cold tonight"

"Fun, i learned something today. they were very kind to me." She said "Working in the kitchen is not easy at all."

"I can see the disappointment on the chef's eyes when some food were unfinished and the anger in they eyes when there were send back."

"Tif.." he said and stopped walking

"Why did you come back in a suddenly?" Asked the man with a cigarette on his hand

"...." She was silent was walked a little away from him "Terrius, can i not talk about it?" She asked

"Im just asking, if you dont feel comfortable is okay." He said and placed her hand into his long coat's pocket "Arent you complaining that it's cold?" He asked with a smile

"Sir, would you like to buy one for your girlfriend?" Said a little girl with a hat and a basket of a pink and a blue fairy floss

"He is not my..." She wanted to explain but she decided not to

"Yes, i will have one." He said "A pink one."

"This is the last pink one, Sir." She answered "God bless you."

"Wait, I will have blue one too." He said

"Thank you sir. You made my day." She said with a smile and walked away

"Is it because it's the last one?" She asked

"Yes, so that she can go home and rest." He said and handed the pink one to Tiffany "My grandmother used to tell me, something like this.."

"Are you trying to ask to offer my pink one to you?" She asked

"Maybe." He said

He stuffed some blue fairy floss into her mouth without asking her. "I think you dont have a chance to reject me now." He said and laughed out loud

"You are such an evil." She said

"Not really." He said unwrap the pink fairy floss as well. he combined both together "Hold it with your left hand." He said and he hold her right hand

"How am i going to eat!?" She said and he stuff some fairy floss onto her mouth again

"Like this." He said "I will look very gay if i hold it."

"What a reason." She mocked and they walked down to the street by holding each other's hands

"believe me, even God ask Anthony Brown for a candy, he will yell at god like he did to the kid just now." Said Clair by refilling Eliot's coffee

"Believe me, Clair. God wont be here, he is in heaven, this is Sydney!" He said "and how do you know I yell at him? i mean you are accusing me! Mayb, i did not yell at him!"

"Aha.. you did not yell at him?" Mocked Tiffany "Give me a break, Sir! you yelled at him!" and they laughed again

"Hey Clair, a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice for this young man." Said Terrius that just walked in

"Yes, again." He said "Long story short, thank you." and sat on the other table that Anthony is sitting

"Terrius, who are you staying with?" He asked

"Im not gonna tell you.." He said wickedly while reading the newspaper

"Oh please! we slept together in college!" Cried Anthony

"You slept with him!?" Asked Clair

"We were roommates, we slept in the same room." Explained Terrius calmly

"Clair, we are having a conversation here, dont interrupt!" He said

"Now you are not having a conversation with Terrius but me." Said Clair

"Shut up both of you." said Terrius "Im trying to read the headlines."

"Eliot!" cried Anthony

"What?" Asked Eliot without looking at him but all the equations

"How's Ashley doing?" asked Anthony

"Still breathing." he said

"so i assume she is improving."

"slowly" Terrius added

"He yelled as loud as you to her every afternoon when i try to watch TV in Tiffany's apartment."

She was reading magazine with a cup of hot mocha at the starbucks that she never thought she will return to. this place bought back a lot of her memories, memories with him, Issac. if wasnt her grandfather need a check up and insist to be done in this hospital, she wont be here. the hospital is busy as usual, people come in and out but there werent any college students now because the restaurants around her old college are back on business.

"Are you.. Tiffany...?" A man asked her and she looked up

"Yes..." She said after a while. she was thinking should she deny who is she.

"How are you? It has been ages not seeing you!" Said a young nurse, David

"I am fine." she paused "I went Sydney for my education."

"I cant tell how excited will Issac be, if he knows that you are back." He added

"Erm.. mayb.." she said softly

"Tiffany!?" Cried a young doctor with glasses

"Ivan.. how are you?" She asked with a fake smiled. she hate this, she dont want to let Issac knows that she is back.

"Too bad Issac is in a meeting, or else..."

"I suppose, it doesnt matter to him." she said softly

Both of them were silent. they know that Issac refused to see her and when he finally want to see her, she rejected meeting her.

"Tif, im really sorry about what happened." Said Ivan

"Mayb is not like what you thought." David tried to defends his friend.

"Is okay." she smile "Is very nice to see both of you. I need to pick up my grandfather." she added "bye" she walked away and leave her still hot mocha on the table

"She is still mad at Issac, doesnt she?" Asked David

"Look at the mocha on the table, it's still hot and untouched." answered Ivan

"Issac is a bastard." David said

"i cant believe he is still with Melissa and they are still not married." Ivan said in an angry tone "he is a moron."

Issac unattached the flash drive and thrown it on the floor angrily. "Is that what both of you want!?" He turned around wanted to walk away but he saw Tiffany standing behind him

"I left my cellphone on the table... " She said calmly "I wanted to take it back but now it seems i found my long lost thumb drive." She said and smiled

She picked up the flash drive on the floor and placed the cellphone she left on the table to her bag

"I never know i will meet you again in this kinda situation." She said with a smile "Anyway, is very nice to see you again." she walked away and her tears finally were all over her face.

This is why she didnt want to see him again. She knew this will happened. after coming back to where she belongs, she has been thinking of him non-stop. is this what she get? Maybe she should go Taiwan with Terrius instead of coming back. Terrius invited her to join him the day before she bought the air tickets, but she rejected. She couldnt believe this. is this what she deserved?

"Here he comes again..." said Steven

"Clair, one coffee to go" Said the man who just cried in the entrance

"What are you people doing here anyway?" He asked and walked over to them

"Plans, and plans and plans?" Steven answered by showing all the house plans

"Aha.. as if he will..." mocked Eliot

"We were happy that he gave us a B the last time" Said Momoko "Oh no.. should be delight."

"Well, for people like them." Said Terrius that just walked into the cafe "Everything is very difficult."

"Coffee to go, Clair" He said without answering him "I need to rush for a meeting"

"Terrius the moron im talking to you! Why are you having your coffee here!?" Asked Anthony "I thought you stayed like 15km away from here and your office is like... far away from here"

"All I can say is, you are a bad professor." he answered "I have been staying with your student for weeks"

"Who!?" He asked

"Oh come on.." Said Terrius "Is none of your business anyway, see you at work later" and he walked out the cafe with his coffee

"Who is he staying with?" Anthony asked them

"We worked together."

"Part Time ONLY." He said and asked again "Who is he staying with?"

"Do we look like we know?" Steven lied

"right, you people know nothing.." he said and walked out the cafe

"Oh my god, slap me Steven" Said Momoko

"I will if you ask again." answered Steven and Momoko slapped him lightly "Why did you slap me?"

"I dont know. i am bored." She said

"Miss Ashley, you arent paying attention in class! " He cried "You dont even know where Hydrogen located in the table!"

"Oh not again.. he has been teaching her how to read a periodic table for days!" Said Eliot "Damned"

"I feel tired, can i go home?" Asked Tiffany

"No one is leaving until she knows how to read the table!" Said Anthony

"Oh, bloody hell!" Eliot rose from his seat "Ashley look here! this is Hydrogen! H is the short form the symbol for it!" He almost cried

"Professor, let them go, i will do my best to teach her today." Said Eliot

"I have not been giving students A for 4 years..." he recalled and said slowly

"You stingy pig!" Said Eliot "Go away, i will get her 'done' by today and tomorrow we will have a normal class."

"Is not very nice to refer your professor as a pig." Said Anthony

"Im Eliot." He said

"Whatever, class dismiss, will be replace by tomorrow." He said "Got a date with Clair, i better run." he said and walked quickly out of the lab

"Well, Eliot is currently missing in action." she said and has a sip of her green tea

"Xinyi, drink some water." Said Tiffany and passed a cup of warm green tea to her

"Can I have more?" Asked Xinyi

"Yea.. sure.." Terrius refill her green tea and his phone rang

"Hello"

"Hi, is this Mr.Terrius?" Asked a man on the other side of the phone

"yes, and you are?"

"Im Richard the police officer who is in charge on the little chinese girl's case."

"Oh.. yea.."

"We found her parents." He said

"Oh great then, i will bring her over right after we are done with our dinner."

"Mr. Terrius, you gonna be prepare for this.." He paused "her parents were found dead in a lorry. their body were covered by straws in the country side. A farmer found them while he was feeding his horses."

"What!?" He cried "You must be kidding me."

"No, im not. the body will be buried by saturday, is 3 days from on." he said "I hope you can find a way to informed the little girl and bring her here before staurday. I am very sorry Mr.Terrius."

"...."

"And i wonder are you interested in adopting her, or else..."

"I will adopt her." He said "Give me sometime, i will need to find a chance to tell her."

"Sure, im sorry for the inconvenient caused."

"I dont know what to say....... anyway, thanks for informing." He said and hung up the phone

Tiffany was staring at him, she can guess what is going on but she didnt not ask. He was silent for the rest of the dinner until they reached Tiffany's apartment and put Xinyi to bed

"Okay, now.." She passed a glass of hot milk to him "Tell me, what was the phone call about."

"Come on, Terrius."

"Her parents were found dead in the country side." He said

"How are you going to tell her?" she asked while sketching on her butterpaper

"I dont know" He change his sit form the sofa to the carpet on the floor. "The farmer found them while he was feeding his horses." He shut his eyes and placed his head on the sofa "She has been so looking forward to see them again. She told me she is going to tell them about the movie we watched last week and the colored fairy floss. she said she is going to buy her mother a pink fairy floss because she mother loved pink. she told me so many about them. and now..."

She was silent, she didnt know what to say. Suddenly they heard someone broke something. Terrius quickly opened his eyes and rushed to the kitchen and saw Xinyi broke a glass and the floor is full of water and cracked glass.

Papa and mama wont be back anymore? how could this happened? that day, papa told her they are going to watch Ice Aged 3. Mama told her they will be having Italian dinner after the movie and suddenly a man with knife came into their car, mama pushed her out. how could they leave her alone here. without them, what is going to happened to her? she sat on the floor with cuts on her both hands and cried.

Tiffany hugged her and carried her to the sofa. Terrius clean her hands and applied medicine on those cuts. He hugged her and told her "it's ok xinyi, Tiffany and I will always be here for you."

"Xinyi.. is okay.." She knows is not okay. is not okay for a kid as young as her to lost her parents. is not okay, is unfair. she is just a child. Is so unfair. She was a happy child although she wasnt from a rich family, but she was satisfied with what she has. she didnt ask for more. all she wants is to be together with her parents and live happily with them like what she used to do.

"Pa...pa...." She said with tears and hugged Terrius even harder. she punched Terrius chest and said "I want papa and mama back... i want my papa.. and mama back...please..."

"They...wont be back.." he said and a tear drop rolled out from his left eye "But they will be in here forever" he touched her tiny chest

"Pa..pa.. said gonna... gonna.. bring me to the Chinese restaurant he worked at, on m..y..my.. birthday.." she said "and m...a..ma..mama.. said she.. she...will.. buy a chocolate.. for..for..my birthday..." she said and tears were all over her tiny face.

The door bell rang and Tiffany went to the door.

"Yo! Xinyi." Said Steven "Are you ready?"

"She seems to accept the fact that they left." Said Tiffany and place a cup of rose tea on the coffee table

"It has been weeks after that." He answered "I believe she has accepted the fact that they left."

"Yea.. is good for her." She answered and read her magazine

"I am bringing her to Taiwan next week." He said

"Why?"

"I think, im gonna ask my mother to take care of her."

"Your mother? Taiwan?"

"She is living there. she likes the environment there."

"Ohh.. do she know you are going to bring Xinyi to her?"

"yea.. i told her the other day." he said "she was very sorry for her and she said she will take care of her."

"Great then." She answered

"My mother always wanted a daughter but she only has my elder brother and me. so.. is a chance..."

"Is really nice to hear that."

"After going to Taiwan, i will need to return to Japan for awhile."

he wanted to tell her about them but he know it wasnt right to do that. she is just way too young. mayb he should just forget it and relax for the rest of the week and goes on with his life. now he totally understands that why is Anthony always tells him that life is pathetic. he thought and laughed at himself.

Xinyi didnt want to walk but she was staring at the little boy with a huge cup of soda and popcorn.

Terrius was stunned and stoned, he didnt know how should he react.

"Since both of you were heading to the snack counter, i tried to run, but there were too many people. you asked me to come along, remember?" she said and took some fairy candy and asked Terrius "fairy floss?"

"Fairy floss? i thought it's candy floss." He said and opened up his mouth to allow Tiffany place some into his

"It's known as fairy floss in Aussie." she answered "where are the movie tickets?"

"Is in my wallet" he said and looked at his both hands that were holding popcorn and sodas.

"I will help you" Tiffany said and took out his wallet of the back of his jeans and passed to the man that were standing at the cinema entrance

"Your daughter is so different from both of you." The man said while tearing the tickets

"Is not our daughter." Terrius said calmly

"Oh.. sorry.."

"Is ok.. is our friend's daughter." Tiffany lied because she feel annoyed to explain all over gain and again every time when people ask.

The first time was the guard in her apartment asking is Terrius her husband or lived in boyfriend and is xinyi his ex-wife kid. the other time was the women in the restaurant insist that Terrius and her were are a relationship and didnt allow them to explain any further. she is tired with all the explanation.

"Tif! " Terrius cried

"I read the book, and when Dumbledore died, i stopped reading it for two days, because every time i touch the book, i cried." Said little Xinyi

The were still silent because both of them did not read the book. They didnt know what to answer.

"What would like to have for dinner?" finally Tiffany asked

"I dont feel like eating..." said little xinyi and tears were on her cheeks

"What happened!?" asked Tiffany

"Dumbledore... the gentle and kind Dumbledore ... died...." said xinyi "i cant believe it! what would happen to Hogwarts? oh no.. and they... oh no..."


"Tiffany, i really hate you." Terrius whispered

"WHAT!?" she asked

"out of so many movies, ice aged and etc." he said in a deep voice "why!? why harry potter!?"

"I feel like watching and i saw her looking at the internet about the movie." she answered "okay, i am sorry. i didnt know it will be that sad."

"so now what?" he asked

"honestly, im freaking hungry." she answered "feel like having Japanese cuisine."

"How about...?" He was looking at Xinyi

"Believe me, when we reached, she will be hungry and all of us will dine happily."

The dinner ended happily and Tiffany finally manage to stop Xinyi from thinking about Harry Potter but Sponge bob Square Pants at the mean time she successfully put her into sleep. Terrius found it very amazing how convincing can Tiffany be but somehow he is also worry about something else.

"Tif.." He said calmly while he was sitting on the sofa in Tiffany's living room with a newspaper

"What?" she asked and sat on the bean bag on the floor with a glass of hot milk

"Why didnt you offer me a glass of whatever on your hand?" he asked

"Take this! i havent dank." she said and passed the glass to him "I will make a glass for myself later. what do you want to tell me?" she asked

"about Xinyi." he said after placing the glass on the coffee table "her parents is still missing after 2 weeks."

"uh huh..." she nodded

"I thought we should send her to school or something." he suggested "the summer vacation is going to end on next week, and i think she should go to class."

"Why are you telling me all these?" She asked and rose form the bean bag she was sitting on "I have no idea at all. you are the one who promise to look after her. and as you know, i will not have the time to look after her. and at the same time, you have been sleeping in my living room for 2 weeks, my living room is like your bedroom now. and it will actually spoilt my reputation."

"Well, i cant bring her to my place." he said

"Why not? your apartment is so much larger and it's so comfortable there. i would love to stay there is i have a chance."

"Well, but it's more cozy in your place." He said thinking that how cool will it be if she change the sofa

She said carefully "and.. and.. i have no idea when will my parents will surprise me! what if they turned out in front of me like what i dreamed the other day? and what if some day like what you did most of time sneak into my room and slept beside me because the sofa is too small for you!?"

"I mean.. i know we are 'clean'.. but.. but.. still.. what if the guard told them like your daughter is sleeping with a guy! and you know, you look so good, and you greet with the guard every morning! certainly, he will remember you! right? right? right!?" she almost cried out

"I dont know." He said "What if her parents gone missing for a year or two? and she will be doing nothing for that long? I dont mind looking after her, money is not a problem to me. but.." he was about to continue and he noticed that Tiffany was asleep and her head was on his shoulder.

What should he do to Xinyi? He is so puzzled. Tiffany is so young, she is not even sure about her life yet. why on Earth did he ask her about Xinyi when she is still not clear about her furture? he is just adding more burden into her. he said and laughed at himself. He carried Tiffany into her bedroom and slept beside her because the cheap sofa in her bedroom is really awfully hard and uncomfortable.

"When you have no idea at all, you feel like killing yourself." Eliot said calmly "but when you have all the ideas all over your mind you feel like dying."

"So why don’t you just kill yourself now?" Eliot mocked


"You aint helping." Tiffany said and drank the half cup of her coffee


"Greek god..." said Eliot by pushing Steven's arm


"What? Where?" Asked Steven


"There...." Pointed Eliot


"Omg.. he really does looks like a Greek god." said Momoko


Tiffany is not going to deny how charming he is. Everyone in the cafe is looking at him and she has a feeling she has used to it. she was also admiring his good looking until he walked over to her


"How do i look like when i am naked?" He whisper to her left ear


"WHAT!?" She cried and stood up


He laughed out and greeted them all


"Hi" Eliot said shyly


"Stop being gay!" Said Tiffany


"Is ok." Said Terrius and he looked at one of Tiffany's sketches


They were silent


"I think the position is a little out." He said


"is just a hand sketch, i didnt follow any point." She answered


"I know but.." The position was very wrong "Mayb, you people have been too depending on computers software." That they cant even draw a simple sketch with free hand


"Are you trying to..." Just before tiffany finished her sentence


"No.. no.. i dont mean anything.. my interns did that too.." He said quickly


"I got to go.. i have a meeting later" He said and smile "Btw, your calculation... the formula is wrong." He said to Eliot


They stared at him walked out to the cafe


"OMG! I didnt know he was actually looked at my calculation!" Said Eliot


"He is amazing...." Said Steven

"Tif.. i told you, you should use a ruler to draw." Said Momoko


"watever!" Said Tiffany


Terrius walked into the cafe again but this time he was with a little Chinese girl


"Can you guys look after her for a while?" He asked "Im in a rush to the meeting. i found her in the bus stop infront. she was crying for her parents."


"Can we say no?" Asked Tiffany


"Please.. i really need to rush.." Beg Terrius "Is very simple, just bring her to the police station."


They were silent


"Oh please...."


"You owe me one!" She said


"Ok" He said and walked quickly out of the cafe


"Erm, i think i am gonna bring her to the police station now." and she added on "i believe no one is willing to go with me." she rose from her feet and walked out the cafe with the little girl.

"Im going to bring you to the police, and they will find your parents for you." She said kindly


The little girl was silent


"I am Tiffany, how about you?" She asked


"My... my mama.. call me Xinyi." She said softly but enough for Tiffany to hear


"Xinyi?" She said "Nice name."


"My mummy left me....." She said and tears drops were on her cheeks "It is because im naughty?"


"No.. no.." She answered and use a tissue to wipe her tears "I believe they are looking for you too..."


"A man came into our car while daddy was driving and ... and...mummy pushed me out of the car..." She said with tears "That man has ....a knife like what..... mummy use to cut the fruits for my lunch box...."


"Dont cry darling. later when you see the police tell them everything ok?" She said and hugged her in the bus

They has been waited in the police station for 3 hours and no one has attended them. all they did was walked over asked their name and disappeared.


"Honey, dont cry..." Said Tiffany


"I want mummy...." Xinyi said in tears


Tiffany's phone rang and it was Terrius


"Terrius here, how's the girl?" He asked


"Believe it or not, im still waiting here.."


"At where?"


"Police Station!"


"Did you leave a 20 dollar note in your file?" He asked


"What? that's illegal!" She cried


"OMG! how stupid are you!" He said "I will be there in 15 minutes"


She didnt know what to do except for asking Xinyi stop crying and her parents will be back to her. She thought of offering candies to her, but she only has mint's candy. when Xinyi teased it, she cried even louder because it was too spicy for her. she was so clueless, all she can do is to wait for Terrius.


Finally Terrius is here, he walked to the officer and said something to the officer in a corner and handed something to the officer.


"Come, is our turn now." He said charmingly and carried little Xinyi on his arm.


"Bloody hell, what did you do? how could you be tat fast!?" She asked


"Something you wont be doing." He answered

"Done!" He said


"Can i leave now?" Asked Tiffany


"I thought we can go for a dinner" He said


"I dont have the time." She said "thanks to you, i suppose i wont have the time to sleep tonight."


"Why?"


"I have an office design to submit tomorrow morning and 1 cafe and 1 stationary shop design to submit next week."


"How hard can an office design be?" he asked "Lets go for dinner, and i promise i will try and think of something about it for you."


"How about her?" She asked by looking at Xinyi


"I wonder should i bring her home until her parents returned"


"You should." She said by thinking how bad the environment in the police station is


"Xinyi, what do you feel like eating?" She asked her


"Pizza..." Xinyi answered happily as if she has forgotten about her parents


"Cool, so let order it to my place and i get your so called assignment done."


"Xin darling, you are going to stay with uncle Terrius for a few days until your parents return ok?" She asked


"Yes, they will be back as soon as possible. in the mean time you will have fun in my place."

"She is asleep." She said by walked out of her guest room "Can you tell me again why will she and you ended up in my apartment? I thought you said she will be staying with you, and you will be ordering pizza to YOUR place!?"


"Because i need to help some donkeys on their assignments?" He said and look at the other 3 in the living room


"Wao..." Tiffany teased


"Anyway erm i have redraw your drawings." He said "all you need now is to scan it into your computer and create a layout."


"Serious?" She asked


"Yes" He answered "However, use Photoshop to adjust a little of the lighting. the effect will be nicer"


"Emr i dont know how to use photoshop..." She said softly


"WHAT!?" he couldnt believe what did he just hear


"is ok, lightroom is good enough for that." She added on


"Whatever you use." He said "I did not change your boutique office concept i thought it was okay."


"Thank you very much"


"Yea.. " He said and added on "The last time your uni asked me am i interested to be your guest lecturer, i rejected"


"Are you regret?"


"I was but now i think i made the right choice." He teased "You people aint stupid but extremely lazy!"

"Wake up..." Terrius pushed Tiffany and there's no respond

"Wake up...!" He cried out loud and everyone in the living room woke up.

"You guys have 30 minutes before the time of submission of your projects." he said calmly

"I have checked everything.. it should be fine." He said and sat on the sofa with his cup of coffee and morning paper

"Holy Shit!" Steven rose quickly and ran to the door "Thank you Greek god! thank god you were here or else i will be still drawing" he said and ran out of the apartment

"Thank you Terrius" Said momoko and Eliot and both of them ran out of the apartment as well

"Tiffany can you wake up!?" Cried Terrius

"Huh?" she said "5 more minutes please..."

"No.. wake up now!" He said again

"3 more minutes..."

"NO! I said now!" he cannot imagine if his interns said that to him

She cried out with tears and freaked Terrius out

"What is this!?" He asked

"I want to sleep!" She said with tears on her cheeks

"You are going to be late.." He said carefully

"I hate you Greek god..." She said and rose from the carpet she was sleeping on
