I Love You

I cant find the picture I want! damn

the setting is at the 1920's until 1930's of Shanghai, China.

She saw in in his elegant striped midnight long coat with his lean and tall body was so outstanding in the crowd which she will never missed him nor matter how packed and how many of people around him. He has changed from the man she loved to a totally different man in sense of the social status but she knows that they are still in love when their eyes matched each others in the crowd. She still remember the day she met him and they fall in love with each other.


Her father was one of the richest man in Shanghai. She was always locked in the beautiful white and western influenced mansion. One day she was looking out the window and she saw her parents was fetched away by a black car. She thought that this will be a good opportunity for her to go out of the mansion and look at the outside world. She sneaked out the mansion with one of her servants clothes on her.


She was so fascinated about the things out there, the food stalls, the accessorises stalls, the shoes stalls, the cosmetic stall and so many. she was wondering around and accidentally knocked down a young man's wagon. The floor was full of the sugar cane from the wagon and she quickly helped the young man to picked them up.

"i am sorry I didn't mean to knocked down your wa...gon" She could hardly breath when she saw him. he is so charming and good looking. He has a pair of eyes with a huge pupils which made him looks very charming , his straight nose and thin lips made him looks very sexy. he was in a dirty thin white t-shirt and a light brown pants.

he smile at her and said "is alright."

"Oh no.. I am so sorry." She blushed and said shyly "Is there anything I can help?"

"NEH.. is just a small matter. do not worry about it." he left one white towel on his shoulder and pushed his wagon away.

however, she was so nervous and she doesn't know what to do. She followed him all the way to another street until he stopped and turned to her.

"Miss, you needn't to feel bad. people always knock me down." he looked at her and said again " you better have go home before your employer start to look for you."

She suddenly noticed that she was in her servants clothes and she said "well, maybe you should let me help you on the selling, so that i can feel better."

By the afternoon, they manage to sell all the sugar cane.

"It is a new experience for me." she said happily to him.

"Well, i certainly hope that you enjoy it although it is not a comfortable one." he replied and he smiled.

"Is not as bad as you thought." she said while she is looking up the sky.

"Which mansion you are working for?" He asked and looked at the same direction she is looking.

"Cheng's." She said the name of the mansion she was staying.

"That's a huge one. Shouldn't you be going back?" he asked

"Oh no. I want to look around." She said and she quickly added "I am new here."

"In this case. As a citizen of Shanghai, i should bring you around." He said

"Yes, you certainly should" She said with a sweet smile on her face.

He looked at her and notice how lovely was she. She has a small oval shaped face, and a pair sparkling huge eyes. She was so lovely that he couldn't take his eyes out of her.

She noticed that he was staring at her in a fire hot sight which she never feel before and she looked at him and their eyes met. They know they were in love. Is love that made them see each other so differently as if the whole world only left both of them.

After that day, every time after her parents went out, she will sneak out to the street and spend time with him. buyers often ask them when will them be married and every time she will blushed and once he told her

"please do wait for me. One more month i will earn enough money to pay your employer to take you out."

Every time he said that she will smile at him. She does not dare to tell him that she is not the servant but the daughter of the Cheng's mansion. She knows that he will be very angry that he was fool and he might not want to see her again.

"Next week, you will get married in Macau with the son of the inspector." her father said happily
"Oh no.. father no..." She rejected the idea of her father

"Sweet heart, you are 18 now. Is the right time for you to get married." her mother replied

"No. please..." She begged

"Why not? The son of the inspector is a very handsome and hardworking young man." Her father said positively

"But father, I am in love..." She said with the tears on her face.

Her father was so angry and slapped her.

"Love? Who allowed you to go out of the mansion without anyone? " He hold her wrist hardly and asked but she did not answer a word.


She was locked in her room for a week until her wedding day. She was in a beautiful white chiffon dress. the pear necklace matches her perfectly but she wasn't happy at all. She feel like dying. She doesn't want to married anyone accept for him.

She walked out the mansion and she saw him passed by she cried out loud:

"Save me... save me!! Take me away."

He ran to her but he was blocked by two her male servants. She couldn't tell how unhappy she was and screaming all away until the car drove out of the city.

It has been 7 years. everything had changed. She returned to Shanghai after the dead of her husband. She was so relieved that her husband passed away. It was something she shouldn't have felt but she just couldn't help it. She wonder how was he. She heard so many news about him after she left. He is not the wagon man anymore. he changed. he is now one of the most important business man in the night clubs business industry. she didn't know how he manage to be so successful, the only thing she was aware is that he is still single. Now, she finally met in him the crown when everyone was running away from the Japanese Army. It's a mess, but they found each other.

She was so delight and run to him, because people were running in a different direction of hers, she find it difficult to reach him but she was doing her very best to reach him. She reached him and hugged him with tears of joy. She cant tell how happy is she to found him in this messy and dangerous situation.

When she was about to talk to him she felt an impact on his back and she felt that her hands are wet and the next thing, she saw blood. he was shot. she couldn't believe it.

"Dearest, leave me here and run. the Japanese are coming. run" he pushed her away.

"No... no..." She kneel down with him on her arms.

"I miss you so badly when you left." He touched her face with his hand slowly as if he was using his last strength and said "i love you."

he is dead. she was so depress and crying there while everyone were running. The Japanese aircraft started to release the bombs, people were running even faster but she was there. alone kneeling there until the bomb found her.



p/s: Believe it or not, this was one of my dream when i was in macau a few years ago. I forgetten about it until just now when i was trying to take my afternoon nap. hope you enjoy it.
